The bending would probably be pretty rough compared what we see in ATLA/LoK we might be able to see people refining their bending through observing and learning from the original bending animals (+Tui and La). It would have been thousands of years before the establishment of the four nations as we know them, and the avatar would be a new concept to the people as far as we know, no one knew the Avatar would reincarnate (as Wan only learned on his dying breath), so it would primarily explore how the world adjusts the the permanence of the Avatar. Instead, I would like them to explore the story of the second avatar. I feel like there's not much to really explore thematically that hasn't already been done. LoK is not ATLA, and what it adds to the lore isn't always the greatest (the mechas, as well as Vaatu), and if what you want is more like ATLA, then it's completely fair to not want to watch LoK.įor me, personally, I don't really want to see an Avatar after Korra. All of this is pretty much the most ATLA thing ever there was a whole Iroh lecture about using other bending styles to improve your own.Īt the same time, I completely get how you feel. The twins use more rigid stances akin to earthbending when they bend ice, and Bolin and Ghazan at times move more like waterbenders when they're lavabending. Korra herself applies a waterbending technique to metalbending for a hot second in the S4 finale. Lin's style is not the same as Suyin's Lin's is more rigid, closer to classic earthbending, whereas Suyin's is far more fluid and graceful (which actually bleeds over into her earthbending).
#New avatar series coming out full
It's really cool seeing metalbending develop from Toph's extremely rough version to the full blown style we get in LoK that actually differs slightly from person to person. It just doesn't make sense, unless it's something like Harry Potter where magic can actually substitute for most things we developed technology for. I hate it when fantasy arbitrarily freezes itself in one time period just to maintain an aesthetic. For me, I'm more interested in seeing how things change with time (good or bad) than I am in seeing the same thing over and over. The Minecraft server IP is, more info here. These avatar themed subreddits are fully or partially run by moderators of /r/TheLastAirbender They build towards LoK and answer some questions left at the end of ATLA. There are several main comics which take place shortly after ATLA.
Will create animated film and other projects Avatar Studios formed, lead by Mike & Bryan.
